This topic shall assist the participant to organize the document according to the readers' needs, employ a variety of strategies for jump-starting writing assignments and to apply editing and design principles to heighten the impact of the message.

Corporate Etiquette

It is essential for every individual to behave in a socially acceptable way. Etiquette refers to good manners which help an individual leave his/her mark in the society. An individual must be aware of how to behave and be disciplined at the workplace. This module shall delve into the areas of professional business introductions (a great first impression, the proper handshake, business cards and introductions), business meetings etiquette, business attire and corporate behavior.

Listening Skills

Developing effective listening skills is a basic competency for managing teams. Questioning and observing other team members, facilitates sharing of important personal information. Talking without focus can be distracting. The more focused the listening process, the more likely team members will explore alternative ways for doing the project, making the team perform successfully. This module explores the differences between hearing and listening, helps to initiate contact, supports and encourages listening, goes into the persona of a reluctant speaker, and finally deals with the problems in listening as well as how does one end communication positively.

Management and Leadership Spark # 101

Given the dynamism and complexity of being a manager and/or a leader, this module gives participants an overview of the management space. It is an essential module for newly inducted managers. It covers the basics around the multiple roles of a manager, the qualities of a leader, contemporary leadership styles, team work and time management.

Management and Leadership Spark # 102

It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be. Given the essence of this statement by Paul Arden, this module focuses on the personal leadership of an individual. It covers aspects on their views around leadership, creation of their leadership shields and the generic, yet essential qualities of a leader. An insight into developing trust is also built into this session.

Project Management

Why is it that some projects go right and some go terribly wrong? Even the best team could see its efforts fail if it operates without effective planning and management. This topic helps the participant to scope out a project and defines project objectives, develop realistic schedules and set deadlines, monitor budgets and keep projects on track, communicate progress and problems to stakeholders and assess risk and develop contingency plans.

Meeting Management

Running a meeting well is more difficult than you might think. How can you run a meeting more effectively? This course contains relevant information on when to call a meeting and what kind of decision-making process to use, how to plan and prepare for a productive meeting, how to conduct a successful meeting and follow up after it and how to manage problem behaviors and intervene at key points during a meeting.

Dealing with a perfectionist boss

Some bosses expect performance to be perfect to the t. During such instances, employees may be unable to cope with the set expectations, and that behavior may backfire. This module seeks to examine why perfectionism takes place, signs of perfectionist behavior, effect of perfectionism and dealing effectively with a perfectionist boss.

Persuasion

Talented persuaders have the power to capture an audience, sway others' opinions, and convert opponents to their cause. They wield influence and eloquence to convince others to align with their perspective, support their position or ideas, and help implement their solutions. The persuasion skills module focuses on the critical areas of persuasion, the ethics behind it, the credibility equation, understanding how an audience makes decisions and the techniques to appeal to emotions.

Everyone likes to be appreciated. How do you ensure you make your employees feel special? This module focuses on the essential aspects of praise, reasons why one is not praised enough, occasions that deserve praise, methods of praising an employee and giving memorable praise.

Trust - The Performance Multiplier

Trust is the most powerful currency in business. The world is witnessing shrinking individual economies and a larger world economy. Interconnectedness is what is driving businesses today, and the importance of trust cannot be undermined. This modules gives an insight into the reality of trust, why trust matters, factors impacting trust, essential elements to build a culture of trust (from the leader/CEO's perspective) and enabling individuals to trust organizations.
